Job Description
Must demonstrate the ability to consistently carry out the following responsibilities w.r.to pre and post sale phases of Interra's Digital video product line.
- Interface with customers as the primary technical liaison, customer support
- Provide leadership in presenting a positive Interra image when dealing with customers
- Interface with engineering team for roadmap and customer specific problem resolution
- Conduct system acceptance testing. Document and track issues to closure
- Utilize established processes, initiate issues escalation to Technical Support
- Provide technical and organizational leadership to customer support
- Contribute to continuous improvement of customer support & engineering
Job Requirements:
- Education & Minimum Requirement
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science
- Have a minimum of 5 years of relevant industry experience
- Strong verbal, written communications, and interpersonal skills
- Experience in working with the sales force and customer sites
- Technical Experience
Demonstrated broad understanding of most major technical disciplines necessary for analysis, integration, and testing of digital video broadcast and delivery systems. These include, but not limited to technologies and practices in the following areas:
- Strong knowledge of MPEG-4 H.264/AVC/ VC1/MPEG2/ DVB/ AC3/ AAC/ WMA
- Up to date digital video system solutions (off-air, DBS, cable, telco, wireless, etc.)
- Video signal processing and video quality for Standard and High Definition
- Knowledge of Video-on-Demand (VOD), IP TV, Broadcast, Studio, Post Production set up
- Knowledge of Windows, Linux, Leopard, C, C++, Java, Python, Web based applications
