Interra introduces H264 Analyzer - A comprehensive analysis tool

H264 Analyzer speeds audio/video-based development, analysis, and interoperability testing

SANTA CLARA, Calif., September 14, 2004
Interra Systems, Inc., the leading provider of customizable technology components and services, today announced the H264 Analyzer-a new comprehensive analysis and compliance tool for hardware engineers and software developers creating high volume consumer products or applications, such as DVB-H mobile phones, broadband DSL equipment, streaming media applications for the semiconductor and consumer electronics segments

Interra's H264 Analyzer analyzes a range of audio/video streams and verifies them for compliance with several digital media standards including H.264 (MPEG-4 Part 10 AVC), MPEG-2 Transport, MPEG-4 Video, MP4, 3GPP, AAC Audio, and AMR. These standards are very important for next and current generation audio/ video compression technologies.

"Our H264 Analyzer users can quickly verify, debug, and troubleshoot standards and conformance-related problems in their product or application before introducing it into the market. Design and evaluation engineers in the semiconductor and consumer electronics business, professional video equipment manufacturers, video network operators, mobile phone equipment manufacturers and operators will find the H264 Analyzer a very useful tool." said Sunil Jain, CEO, Interra Systems. Interra's H264 Analyzer performs syntax and conformance checks on the selected stream. During analysis, users may start navigating the video data using the graphical user interface (GUI). The GUI will enable users, get a detailed microscopic view into the coding of the stream.

"System developers, system integrators, encoder developers, system engineers, or evaluators will find the H264 Analyzer a great help when developing solutions for network monitoring, video streaming, broadcasting applications, or codecs. We believe our H.264 Analyzer will be well received in the market for its comprehensive feature set, 'ease of use' and robustness. We also offer an SDK option; we believe the SDK option will be very useful to companies that offer products in the test & measurement space," added Ashish Basu, Vice President, Sales & Business Development at Interra Systems.
