PBS to Use Interra's Baton® Content Readiness Solution

CUPERTINO, Calif. - August 04, 2009
Interra Systems, Inc., based in Cupertino, California is pleased to announce that PBS has selected its Baton® content readiness solution for file-based multi-media workflow.

"The Media Operations Center at PBS is always looking for ways to improve content quality, automation and efficiencies, from video quality, audio up-mixing and loudness correction to metadata management," said Wendy Allen, Senior Director, Media Operations & Media Library, PBS. "Our multi-platform distribution model presents some unique challenges; as a result we put a lot of focus on content quality throughout our file based workflow. In addition to checking content readiness at multiple stages, Interra's Baton® solution will allow us to automate some of our processes and gain efficiencies," she added.

"Interra Systems is proud to support PBS's effort on automation and content verification. We hope our Baton® solution and the wide range of audio, video & container formats it supports will help PBS achieve its automation, efficiency and cost savings goals. PBS has a very sophisticated automation infrastructure for file based content, we are very happy to be included in their environment," commented Ashish Basu, Vice President of Sales and Business Development at Interra Systems, Inc.
