JRTV Selects Interra's Baton QC Solution

Cupertino, California, March 2, 2015

Interra Systems a leading global provider of software and services to the digital media industry, today announced that Jordan Radio and Television (JRTV) has selected Interra’s Baton® product as their QC solution for their main ingest workflow. JRTV will pass all their ingested files through Baton QC for compliance and quality control before moving them for playout. The broadcaster delivers news, entertainment, and educational programming throughout the Kingdom of Jordan in two different language services -- a 24-hour Arabic broadcast with an English-language service.

“We process large volumes of data every day and needed the most advanced QC tool to help us ensure high content quality while streamlining our operation through automation,” said Mr. Khalaf Al-Khawaldeh, Director of Engineering, JRTV. “After a thorough evaluation of multiple QC tools over several months, we chose Baton for our QC needs. It was the only tool that completely satisfied all our requirements and met our strenuous standards of quality checks and processing time.”

“Baton has been the preferred choice for broadcasters all over the world because of its flexibility, inherent scalability, and the most in-depth video and audio quality checks,” said Mr. Sanjay Mittal, Managing Director, Interra Systems, Asia. “Baton’s aggressive roadmap with a focus on customer priorities ensures that investments are not only justified today, but protected well into the future. We are delighted that JRTV has selected Baton for their QC needs.”

Baton is a multi-platform, enterprise class, automated content verification system for file-based SD, HD, and mixed workflows. Supporting a wide range of codecs and media containers, Baton ensures quality control of media content before playout. Baton is highly flexible and can be quickly scaled for large facilities or high volumes of content. As a hardware and O/S independent solution, Baton can easily be integrated within facilities’ existing infrastructures.
